Sin Mei shatters national mark en route to long jump bronze

NGEW Sin Mei only treated yesterday’s long jump event as a tune-up for the triple jump competition, which will be held tomorrow. 

And it was indeed a sweet surprise that she landed a bronze and shattered the national record to bring in the first medal for Malaysia in athletics. Sin Mei’s 6.27m effort was one centimetre better than the record she set last year.
