MEXICO CITY: Pole sitter Justin Wilson held off teammate A.J. Allmendinger by 3.9 seconds and won his second Champ Car race of the season Sunday, capturing the Mexico Grand Prix to claim third place in the U.S. open-wheel series standings.
The Englishman, who made 16 starts in Formula One with Minardi and Jaguar in 2003, led for 65 of 70 laps on the 4.484-kilometer (2.786-mile) Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit and finished in 1 hour, 58 minutes 23.479 seconds.
