OCM and NSC want halal food for Muslim athletes


CEBU: The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) and the National Sports Council (NSC) are going the extra mile to ensure that halal food is served to Muslim athletes during the 23rd Manila SEA Games. 

During the delegation visit and subsequent meetings attended by the chefs-de-mission of all the 11 participating countries, the Malaysian delegation led by OCM vice-president Low Beng Choo who is the Malaysian chef-de-mission, her deputy Ahmad Shapawi who is also the director of international preparations repeatedly brought the matter up for discussion.
