ANAHEIM (California): Malaysian shuttlers in Anaheim, California, for the World Badminton Championships will not be short of moral support.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who arrived in Los Angeles for a vacation with his family yesterday said he would be around to give moral support to the players.
“I will certainly go and see the matches during my stay here,” he told Bernama when met at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday.
Najib, who is heading the Cabinet Committee on Sports, was at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium with his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor when Malaysia's No 1 Lee Chong Wei won his second Malaysian Open title beating China's Lin Dan in the final. – Bernama
