LONDON: England’s top flight soccer clubs have ratcheted up security as the new season gets underway this weekend, with most announcing plans for bag searches that could lead to heavy delays before games.
The Football Association, the FA Premier League and the Football League issued a statement on Wednesday, warning fans to arrive early at matches and advising them to leave their backpacks at home.
