GENTING HIGHLANDS: Malaysian exponents bagged two more gold medals – one by default – on the second day of the Sixth International Clubs Open taekwondo championships at the Arena of Stars here yesterday.
Raffque Hashimi Hashim of Bangsar Taekwondo Club won the men's poomsae event, a demonstration discipline ahead of another Malaysian, Chen Teck Foong. The bronze medal went to Jordan's Mohammad Al Abadi.
Malaysia’s second gold came from Chee Sue Shen in the women's welterweight division. Sue Shen did not have to raise a finger to take the medal. She was the only exponent to register for the event.
Malaysia now have a haul of four gold, six silver and eight bronze medals.
