AALBORG (Denmark): Malaysia's Shalin Zulkifli, Sarah Yap and Esther Cheah (pic) finished out of the medals after the second block of the women's trios event of the World Championships at Lovvang Bowling Centre here yesterday.
Shalin, Sarah and Esther had a combined six-game total of 3,608 pins and were in sixth spot after the completion of the first squad's play.
Shalin chalked up a 1,290 while Esher and Sarah posted scores of 1,201 and 1,117 respectively.
The trio were in ninth position overall after the first block of three games on Sunday.
Singapore's Alice Tay, Jennifer Tan and Valerie Teo are the leaders with a total of 3,806 followed by Danish trio of Anja Ginge Jensen, Rikke Simonsen and Rikke Holm Rasmussen (3,751) and Taiwanese Chou Miao-lin, Wang Yu-ling and Tsai Hsin-yi (3,741).
The second squad of bowlers, including Malaysia's Lai Kin Ngoh, Choy Poh Lai and Wendy Chai, have not completed their games at press time.
