KUALA LUMPUR: The National Sports Council (NSC) have come up with a revised incentive scheme that pays more for medals won in World Championships that are staged once every two to four years than for those that are held annually.
For example, there are two teams – the national women’s bowlers and national badminton players – who are currently gearing up for their respective World Championships. But it is the bowlers who will get more money for winning a gold medal based on the revised NSC incentive scheme for world events.
