KUALA LUMPUR: Nicol David turned the tables on reigning world champion Vanessa Atkinson to become the first Malaysian to win the Malaysian Open women's squash title since the inception of the tournament in 1975.
In front of a full house of 1,500 people at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil, Nicol outlasted Vanessa to avenge her defeat to the Dutch at the same stage of the tournament last year.
