MONTREAL: A miscalculated gamble put paid to Malaysian diver Yeoh Ken Nee's chance of making the semi-finals of the 3m springboard competition in the World Championships here on Tuesday. Ken Nee opted for a higher degree of difficulty on his sixth and final dive in an attempt to push him into the top 16 and a place in the semi-finals.
However, his attempt went awry when he lost control and ended up with no points. The 21-year-old diver eventually settled for a lowly 37th position with 321.39 points.
