SINGAPORE: London's jubilant bid team promised immediately after winning the 2012 Olympics yesterday that the Games would be the best ever and inspire children around the globe to take up sport.
“We won't let you down,” bid leader Sebastian Coe told International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacques Rogge and the rest of the Olympic movement at a press conference in the same room where an hour before London had won the vote.
