PENANG: More than 40 national athletes will be making attempts to win places in the team for the Manila SEA Games at the Penang Open athletics championships at the City Stadium here this weekend.
The Penang Amateur Athletics Association (PAAA) secretary, Paul Subramaniam, said yesterday that they had received confirmation from the National Sports Council (NSC) on the participation of more than 40 athletes who were being prepared for the SEA Games at the end of the year and also the Asian Games in Doha next year.
