HONG KONG: An international equine expert has confirmed Hong Kong would be an acceptable venue for staging the equestrian events at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the city's Jockey Club said yesterday.
The assurance was given by Dr David Marlin of the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, Britain, following news reports that Hong Kong's searing heat could prove fatal to horses.
