Scotland keep hopes alive as the Czechs run riot against Andorra


GLASGOW: Scotland kept their flickering World Cup hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Group Five rivals Moldova at Hampden Park yesterday, coach Walter Smith’s first home game in charge. 

Goals from substitutes Christian Dailly and James McFadden secured maximum points for the Scots, who remain fifth in the table having taken five points from five games. Norway meet Italy and Belarus take on Slovenia later in the day.
