KUALA LUMPUR: An ankle injury has dashed high jumper Lee Hup Wei’s hopes of soaring to new heights at the national junior athletics championships, which begin today at the National Sports Council (NSC) training track in Bukit Jalil here.
The Bukit Jalil Sports School student, who was named as the best male athlete in the national schools (MSSM) championships in Penang early this month for breaking the boys’ Under-18 record with a height of 2.15m, suffered the injury in training a few days ago.
