Sunday qualifying to be scrapped in Nuerburgring

MONACO: The controversial Sunday qualifying session introduced for the 2005 Formula One season is to be scrapped after the Monaco GP, team bosses agreed yesterday.

Instead of the current situation of a qualifying session on Saturday and then one on the race Sunday, it is intended that the sixth race of the season – the European GP on May 29 at the Nuerburgring – will revert to a single qualifying session on the Saturday.
