MILAN: A sports judge suspended the pitch of Serie B club Verona for one game after some of their fans shouted racist slurs to a black player from visiting Perugia, la Repubblica reported yesterday.
Perugia's Senegalese defender Ferdinand Coly was booed throughout a weekend game that his team won 2-1 and that ended with a brawl involving several players and team officials.
