SHEFFIELD: Former world champions Mark Williams of Wales and Scotland's John Higgins were sensationally knocked out of the 2005 renewal here on Monday.
Two-time champion Williams – who made a maximum 147 break in his first round match – went out 13-12 to Englishman Ian McCullough while Higgins was at the end of a 13-8 defeat by English qualifier Shaun Murphy.
