Italian stadiums face ban


ROME: The Italian government threatened to close some soccer stadiums on Monday after a total of 85 policemen were injured in clashes with fans across the country at the weekend. 

Matches in Rome, Palermo, Udine, Cava dei Tirreni and Perugia were marred by violence, with visiting fans battling police at some railway stations as they were escorted away from the grounds.
