DOHA: The International Association of Athletics Federations agreed on Sunday to toughen up their nationality rules to make it harder for athletes to switch nationalities.
The IAAF, during their 45th Congress held in the Qatari capital, said the rule “will be changed so that the period of ineligibility of an athlete who had competed for one member federation and wanted to change to another, would only begin when the athlete received citizenship.
