PETALING JAYA: The karate competition in the inaugural Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG), beginning in Saudi Arabia on Saturday will be a test of strength for the Malaysian squad ahead of the Asian Games in Doha next year.
National coach P. Arivalagan expects the standard of the competition to be high because of the presence of traditional karate powerhouses, among them Iran, Kuwait, Turkey and Jordan.
