PARIS: Olympic inspectors hailed Paris bid for the 2012 Games as excellent on Saturday after they finished a four-day visit to the French capital that was marked by widespread public transport strikes.
Nawal El Moutawakel, head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) evaluation commission, congratulated Paris on its bid and said strikes were part of democracy.
