TORONTO: American Chad Campbell, who had not hit a golf ball in two days, shared the second-round lead with Australia's Adam Scott at the rain-hit Nissan Open on Sunday as officials scrambled to extend the US$4.8mil event in California.
With more than 4-1/2 inches of rain falling at Riviera Country Club in the last 72 hours, there was talk of the tournament being reduced to 36 holes although organisers hoped the title could be decided over three rounds.
