Thongchai is third golfer to retain Malaysian Open crown

PETALING JAYA: The par three 16th hole at the Saujana Golf and Country Club proved yet again to be Thongchai Jaidee’s lucky hole.

The Thai ace weathered heavy pressure from India’s Jyoti Randhawa and Sweden’s Henrik Stenson to birdie the 16th hole, which eventually proved good enough for him to retain the Carlsberg Malaysian Open title by three strokes.
