ROME: Franco Carraro was re-elected as president of the Italian soccer federation on Monday, but he must turn the job over to the current vice president in less than two years.
Carraro, a former mayor of Rome, will lead Italy’s highest soccer authority through the end of 2006 and will hand his post to GianCarlo Abete for the following two-year period.
