LONDON: Tiger Woods is optimistic his caddie Steve Williams will be able to return to work later this month despite having injured his hand in a racing car accident in New Zealand last Friday.
Williams, bagman for the former world number one since early 1999, needed surgery and more than 50 stitches on his left hand after his modified saloon car overturned and struck a safety fence at the Baypark Speedway in Tauranga.
