PETALING JAYA: The promoters and organisers of the Petronas Malaysia F1 Grand Prix put on offer yesterday a special package of four tickets that provides savings of up to RM1,000.
The Sepang International Circuit’s (SIC) general manager, Ahmad Mustafa, said that the “F1 Family Package” offer would only be for the month of February and limited to Topaz and Citrine seats in the main grandstand.
“The package is for two adults accompanied by two children below the age of 12. The tickets for the two children will be offered at a 50% discount,” said Ahmad. “We are also offering a flexibility for purchase of either one-day, two-day or three-day packages.”
The GP in Sepang from March 18-20 is the second round of the World Championship. The season-opening race will be held in Australia on March 6.
A three-day package for Topaz seats will cost RM3,000 as against RM4,000 for four tickets. The two-day package (Saturday and Sunday) costs RM2,700 while parents only need to pay RM1,500 to bring two children in on Race Day.
The breakdown for seats at the Citrine is RM2,100-RM1,800-RM1,500.
“Purchases of tickets can only be made at our ticket counters in Sepang or at our ticket booth at the KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur. They can also be purchased at our nationwide road shows,” said Ahmad.
The road shows this month will be at the City Square, Johor Baru (Feb 18-20); Mahkota Parade, Malacca; and Berjaya Megamall, Kuantan (Feb 25-27).
