Supreme Court uphold jail term for corrupt top IOC official


SEOUL: International Olympic Committee (IOC) vice-president Kim Un-yong's appeal against his jail sentence for corruption has been turned down by South Korea's Supreme Court. 

Marking the end of the road for further appeals, the country's top court decided yesterday to uphold his two-year jail term and a fine of 788.29 million won (US$760,800).
