Olympiakos stay top despite postponement due to rioting

ATHENS: Olympiakos Piraeus held on to top spot in the Greek league on Sunday despite not kicking a ball.

As running riots inside and outside the Nea Smyrni ground, which left nine policemen in hospital, led to the postponement of their match at Panionios, their main rivals Panathinaikos slipped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of AEK Athens.
