Singapore place one hand on Tiger Cup with victory in Jakarta

JAKARTA: Singapore took a giant step towards lifting the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Tiger Cup after upsetting a 10-man Indonesian side 3-1 in the first leg of the final here last night.

First-half goals from defender Daniel Bennett and midfielder Khairul Amri plus a second-half effort from Agu Casmir put Singapore on the brink of winning the tournament for the second time in six years as Indonesia wilted.
