Red-or-Dead Exeter eye United payday

EXETER: Minor league side Exeter City visit holders Manchester United in the English FA Cup third round on Saturday with the fans now in charge grateful for the revenue to ease debts threatening the club’s existence.

Exeter were relegated from the English professional league two seasons ago and when a supporters’ trust took over the running of the club in May 2003 they found debts of £4.8mil.
