KUALA LUMPUR: Ngew Sin Mei has broken national records 10 times since June 2002. But she has yet to receive the rewards due to her as provided under the Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union (MAAU) national record-breaking incentive scheme.
Under the scheme, breaking a national record is worth RM500. Sin Mei has broken the triple jump record seven time and shattered the long jump record thrice. And the Kuala Lumpur lass is entitled to RM5,000 for her efforts.
