DUBAI: World soccer's governing body said on Monday that it was up to national associations to reimburse clubs for players on international duty and not the responsibility of FIFA.
FIFA reinforced their strong opposition to the idea at the Soccerex conference when Markus Siegler, Director of Communications, told delegates that 75% of the profits from major tournaments such as the World Cup are ploughed back into the national associations.
