NEW YORK: Tickets for the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics will cost US$1,500 if New York City win the bid to hold the prestigious sporting event, it emerged on Thursday.
One day after unveiling its final bid to hold the games, New York officials disclosed that tickets would cost US$500-1,500 for the opening and closing ceremonies at a proposed Olympic Stadium, which is not yet built.
