KYUSHU: It was chilly and sometimes wet but it was not a dampener for the 50,000 fans who turned up to watch the exhilarating fender-to-fender battle in Round Six of the Japan Grand Touring (JGT) Championships for production cars at the remote Autopolis Circuit in Oita, Japan, last Sunday.
Fans, who had made the one-hour drive along winding roads to the 4,674m circuit built around a volcano which erupted eons ago, even camped overnight for the Sunday race.
