BERLIN: Barring a late collapse, Bayern Munich and Juventus should qualify for the Champions League knockout phase, but both of these European giants are determined to secure top spot in Group C when they meet in today’s duel at the Olympic Stadium.
Juventus lead the group with a maximum nine points and Bayern, three adrift on six, are aware that only a win will give them a realistic chance of overhauling their Italian rivals and, in theory, ensure they have a kinder draw in the last 16 of Europe’s premier competition.
