BEIJING: China’s football bosses appeared successful yesterday in forcing teams to play Super League games this weekend, despite reservations about a competition wracked with gambling and match-fixing.
A threat by the China FA (CFA) to kick out any team boycotting matches appeared to have quelled a plan by seven of the league’s 12 teams to postpone play until after the CFA curbed irregularities in the league.
