Top clubs unhappy despite CFA's pledge to reform ailing league

BEIJING: The China Football Association (CFA) have acknowledged an urgent need to reform their corruption-ridden professional league, but it is unlikely to placate clubs threatening a boycott, insiders said yesterday.

Seven of the 12 clubs in China's Super League, including Dalian, Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing, were meeting to decide whether or not to accept a reform decision made by the beleaguered CFA late on Tuesday.
