MADRID: Women's world number one Lindsay Davenport and former men's world number two Alex Corretja warned on Monday that the intense pace of the tennis circuit was taking a toll on even the top players.
Men's world number one Roger Federer decided not to play the Madrid Masters tournament that Corretja is contesting, citing fatigue, and Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt are also absent.
