CANBERRA: The position of Australia's head athletics coach, now held by former British triple jumper Keith Connor, would be replaced with a high performance director under recommendations made yesterday by a review panel.
Another of the review's 128 recommendations suggested that world-class athletes from the Asia-Pacific region be encouraged to compete in domestic meets in Australia in an attempt to give the events a higher profile and improve competition for Australians.
