KUALA LUMPUR: Former Negri Sembilan skipper K. Jayabalan died after he collapsed on the field while turning out for his employers, TNB Seremban, for a friendly football game among veterans at the Kilat Club in Bangsar here on Wednesday.
The 54-year-old fullback collapsed after 20 minutes of play and was rushed to the nearby Pantai Medical Centre but the TNB meter reader was pronounced dead upon arrival.
