BERLIN: Paraguayan international Nelson Haedo Valdez enhanced his burgeoning reputation with a quick-fire brace as Werder Bremen downed Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 on Wednesday to move into the last sixteen of the German Cup.
Holders Bremen took the lead at the Weserstadion after five minutes through former French international Johan Micoud but Croat Marko Babic restored parity in the 17th minute.
