Bobby Charlton unveils new 1958 Munich crash memorial


MUNICH: Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton will unveil a stone memorial in the Kirchtrudering area here on Wednesday to pay homage to the 23 victims of the 1958 Munich air disaster. 

A 44-strong Manchester United party were flying back from a European Cup tie in Belgrade before a fuel stop in Munich proved fatal as 23 people, including eight of the 'Busby Babes', named after their coach Matt Busby, died on Feb 6 as the plane crashed at Munich airport.
