Referee Frisk takes two weeks off after Rome incident

STOCKHOLM: Swedish soccer referee Anders Frisk, who was hit and bloodied by an object thrown by a fan during a Champions League match on Wednesday in Rome, will take at least two weeks off before he blows the whistle again.

“Anders is OK, but he’s not ready to officiate a game right away,” UEFA official Lars-Ake Bjorck of Sweden told the Swedish newspaper Goteborgs-Posten’s website on Sunday.
