PETALING JAYA: The FA of Malaysia (FAM) have sacked national Under-20 head coach Jorvan Vieira – just 11 days before the start of the AFC Youth Championships to be hosted by Malaysia from Sept 25 to Oct 9.
The FAM announced their decision in a terse press release, which stated that the technical committee had decided to relieve Vieira of his duties with immediate effect and that the decision was based on the fact that the national Under-20 squad had not reached a satisfactory level after almost two years under his charge.
