PENANG: Russian striker Viatcheslav Melnikov made sure that the Penang Panthers stayed in the Super League next season, scoring a goal and setting up the other in a crucial 2-1 win over Sarawak at the City Stadium last night.
The “Russian Torpedo” struck his ninth goal of the season in the 45th minute before setting up M. Nagaraja to score the winner in the 53rd minute.
