PETALING JAYA: Nicol David again played above expectations to qualify for the final of the Malaysian Open women’s squash championship for the second consecutive year but she again had to settle for the runner-up spot at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil on Sunday.
Last year, Nicol was unseeded and needed a long hard match to beat Shelly Kitchen of New Zealand 1-9, 4-9, 9-3, 10-9, 9-5 to get into the final.
