PARIS: Olympic champion Maurice Greene failed to celebrate his 30th birthday in style here on Friday as he had to make do with second in the 100m behind Portugal’s 1999 200m world bronze medallist Francis Obikwelu, who was to win the 200m for good measure later.
While Greene also failed to justify his tattoo which sports a lion’s head with the acronym “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time), which comes from the title of a book about Muhammad Ali published last year, there were some impressive performances.
