Karamjit and Allen’s bid for second world title as good as over

BUENOS AIRES: The hopes of Malaysia's Karamjit Singh of winning the World Rally Championships' production car title for the second time together with Allen Oh are as good as over after early retirement in the Rally of Argentina last weekend.

Karamjit made a good start by taking the lead after the first stage. But he was dealt a cruel blow on the subsequent stage when his newly-built car clipped a rut on the track, causing it to flip and settle on its roof.
