KUALA LUMPUR: National players will be eligible for only one Sukma outing under new rules outlined by the Sukma supreme council at their meeting yesterday. And the days of the big payouts for Sukma winners are over. All states will only be allowed to give a maximum reward of RM3,000.
The ruling means only national players who have yet to compete in any Sukma would be allowed to take part in the 2006 Games in Kedah.
